About Us
We are Davoc and Anne Rynne and we live in the West of Ireland in County Clare. It is a small rural townland called Knockliscrane – the hill of the burnt oat – and about a mile outside the town of Miltown Malbay.
We have been fulltime Antique dealers since about 1964, buying at small country sales, from people’s homes and from other dealers. For over twenty years we specialised in old Irish country furniture and folkart collectables. We have shipped dozens of 40 foot containers to California.
During this period we were constantly taking photographs to send to our American clients and this experience has greatly benefited us in the work we do today.
We never in our wildest dreams imagined that we would be doing what we are doing today. From loading fortyfoot high cube containers to packing two inch jiffy bags is truly a giant leap!!!
In irish-celt we list the finest rare Irish antiques and folk art. We hope to include Belleek – particularly earthenware Belleek. One of our great interests is in primary source documents, any papers relating to Ireland in fact.
I really love your website on EBAY and your FACEBOOK account. You look like the perfect happy Irish couple and add a little personal touch to everything you send out which is fantastic. I especially liked the video of you both when you were playing your tun together…..it just made me smile! I have two sons from my first marriage Michael and Steven Hunt that are very interested in their ancestry and any books or family crests that i might be able to find for them if you happen to run across any. Also i am a big collector of Belleek and have a few pieces of Kiltrea Bridge Pottery if you ever come across any , I would be very interested in them. We have always been big on history, different countries and collectibles as well as Irish clothing. It is my hope one day soon we will get to Ireland……it is so lovely with all the country, farm and love the old house with the thatched roofs. My middle son Steven just made me grandma , so may have to put my dream on hold for while. Many thanks for all the wonderful things you continue to do for people. Trudy
Good morning Trudy,
Thank you for all your comments. I must look out for Kiltrea Bridge pottery.

I have a chaplet given to me by an Irish nun when my parents died. It MAY be one of the ones made in1915, as it bears all of the aspects of the pictures I have seen. This nun handled it every day and gave it to us when both my parents died very closely together. This nun came from a very rich family in Ireland who owned a textile family. I kept seeing the 1722 date on the back of it and started doing research. I have sent pictures to Margo with the rosary collections and she is going to post it to her website to see if anyone can collaborate on it. It looks EXACTLY like the picture on their website and had Woden beads. It looks quite old. Very excited to find out more.
“And owned a textile factory, not family! Sorry!
